The principal author of the Newton Tool is Allen Parker. Allen began this project in the spring of 2005 in order to learn a variety of programming skills necessary for his future work. He had just finished a year of graduate mechanics at Clemson University with Clemson Physics Professor Dieter Hartmann, so he was particularly eager to implement a tool that could numerically integrate Newton's Second Law.
Co-Authors of this tool were Allen's Advisor, Brad Meyer, and Webnucleo lead developer, Jason Brown.
